Visiting this site

The site is served by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. To deliver the pages and protect them from attacks, Cloudflare processes technical data of each visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested and the time. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, a legitimate interest in a site that works and stays safe. Cloudflare takes part in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which works without cookies and without storing anything on your device. It shows how many people visited and from which site they came, nothing that identifies you. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

The fonts come from this site itself. The only outside scripts are Cloudflare’s counter above and, once you open it, the booking step below. No advertising or tracking tools are loaded.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie that tells people apart from automated traffic.

Booking a call

The booking step behind “Let’s talk” is provided by Cal.com, Inc., USA, and loads only when you open it. What you enter there (your name, email address and any answers) goes to Cal.com and to me so we can hold the call. The booking is kept in my Google Workspace calendar and the call runs on Google Meet (Google Ireland Limited). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, steps you ask for before a possible contract.

Email

If you email me, I use your address and message to reply. The mailbox is hosted by Google Workspace (Google Ireland Limited). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for general questions.

How long data is kept

As long as it is needed for the conversation or the work, and after that only as long as tax and commercial law require.

Your rights

You can ask what I hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR), have it corrected (Art. 16), deleted (Art. 17) or restricted (Art. 18), receive it in a portable form (Art. 20) and object to processing based on a legitimate interest (Art. 21). Write to ahad@thinkingsolo.com. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, for example the one in the German state where you live.
